Ingeteam provides 216 MW of equipment for Brazil’s Enel solar project

April 22 (now renewable energy)-Spanish electrical engineering company Ingeteam SA announced this week that it is supplying and installing its power conversion unit for the third phase of the 256 MWp of the Sao Goncalo solar power complex in Piaui, Brazil .
According to this 216 MW order, Ingeteam has delivered 30 power stations with 7.2 MW each. Each includes four 1.8 MW solar inverters, a power transformer, medium voltage switchgear, auxiliary service panels and transformers, UPS and a power plant controller.
The photovoltaic (PV) complex is currently being constructed by Enel Green Power Brasil Participacoes Ltda. At present, Sao Goncalo has a solar power generation capacity of 608 MWp, corresponding to its first two stages. The third ship is expected to be put into use this year.
Once the new part is put into operation, the total capacity of the photovoltaic complex will reach 864 MWp, and the annual power generation will reach 2,200 GWh.
